Everybody is interested in building experience, and people in general brag about there experiences. But what I believe in, is that experience as it may be gained it maybe lost as well.

Few are those who realize this.
Few are those who may admit that it can be lost as well.
Few are those who may take it into consideration.

At certain times the past experience may help in nothing.
At a certain moment people may not make use of their past experience, or it may serve them in nothing. At that point, they and the NOVICE are at equal level.

Experience may be lost even in a shorter time than the period of gaining it.
In extreme cases it may be lost in a day, if not to say in a moment.

I know it's hard to convince others in this point of view,
but at least I believe in it and have witnessed it.

I am saying it may be lost, not due to a brain damage or injury; not due to any physical injury or damage..

In extreme cases it may even be lost willingly !

A person may decide at one time not to be experienced in a certain thing,
and - more surprisingly - a person may decide in one moment to be experienced in doing a certain thing, and he would do it professionally even if it is his first attempt in doing such a thing !

Sounds strange? and confusing?

I know, but I believe in it, and hope to prove it more oneday.

Experience is not lost, but I agree with your theory that it might be useless in many cases. It depends on the person and the work to be done.

Personally, my first attempts at doing something are always the best because I put all my heart into it. When i learn exactly how to do it, I lose my excitement and interest, and I need a great deal of determination to finish the work successfully.
Does this prove your theory ?

However, experience is not lost in itself. It may just, for some people, affect other factors that are important to success and consequently become more harmfull than usefull

The best thing about experience is when it comes out unexpectedly, like when you apply a part of what you learned in one field on another field that might be completely different.

Did I talk too much :) ? 0

no you didn't talk too much

I tend to agree with Samah. Experience is something that gets programmed into our sub-conscience and it takes a conscious decision to deviate from it. i

Here's an example: When one learns to ride a bicycle and becomes experienced in it, it is almost impossible to lose that. But one can make a conscious decision not to use that experience. i

This decision is sometimes justified, but not always. i

Did I make myself clear or just confused matters further? i

one who had 30 years experience in smoking
may at a time decide to quit smoking

one who has 40 years experience in lying may at a time decide to be honest
and lose that experience willingly

one who has spent his lifetime not praying
may at once start praying punctually and accurately from the first prayer
even though he had no previous experience in this

but this is the effect of being enlightened
