One of the definitions or better to say criteria of an open-minded person- as I read onetime- is the one who would be welcoming others' ideas, or points of view... even if not matching with his..

Many claim that they are open-minded (as for me I don't claim it ) , but in fact they are not open-minded in the true sense

They may be welcoming some ideas and points of view, but not ALL ideas and points of view
so why do they claim they are open-minded?

In their case I believe it's better they admit that they have
"Selective open-mindedness" , and not an Ultimate one ! i

If they are truly open-minded they should admit this fact....at least

Nobody is that much perfect. Most people are selective and there are norms that govern the openness as well.
