A father came home from work and his third grade son came
running up to him.
"Dad!" the little boy said. "I got a part in our class play!"
"Well, that's wonderful!" the father said. "What part did you get?"
The little boy said, "I'll be playing the part of a man who's been married for twenty years."
"Oh" the father said, sounding really disappointed.
The little boy asked his father, "Well, Dad, you were excited and now you sound disappointed. Aren't you excited about my part in the play?"
The father said, "Well, Son, I was just hoping you'd get a speaking part."
running up to him.
